PowderStrong 2026

Get strong for
ski season.

PowderStrong is the pre-season strength and durability program for mountain athletes who want to stay pain-free and powerful all winter long.

What to expect from PowderStrong

Built for the demands of a real ski season.

All-Day Endurance

Stay strong from the first chair to the last lap — without falling apart by midday.

Pain-Free Movement

Train joints, not just muscles. Build the durability that keeps your knees and hips healthy all season.

Injury Resistance

Bulletproof your knees, hips, and back before the season starts — not after something goes wrong.

Confidence on Snow

Trust your body to move, react, and recover — on steep terrain, in variable snow, and on long days.

When it runs

Mid-October through early January.

PowderStrong is a 14-week pre-season strength and durability program built to prepare you for winter. Start earlier with the optional Prologue, then keep the momentum going with the optional Extension after the core program ends.

Optional

Prologue

An optional build-up phase to establish your base before the core program begins. Ideal if you want a longer runway or are coming off a less active summer.

Available before the core program
Core Program

PowderStrong

14 weeks of structured strength and durability training — three sessions per week, progressive loading, and ski-specific movement preparation. This is the full program.

Mid-October → early January
Optional

Extension

An optional extension to keep building momentum after the core program, whether snow comes late or you want more time to prepare for winter.

Available after the core program

Prologue and Extension are optional additions available to all PowderStrong athletes.

Who's PowderStrong for?

And who is it not for?

This is for you if...
  • You are 30–70 and train for the mountains
  • You have had tweaks, injuries, or pain before
  • You want a clear, effective training plan
  • You are willing to put in consistent work
  • You want to ski harder and hurt less
This is not for you if...
  • You want to hit the gym randomly
  • You are not ready to move with intention
  • You are not interested in professional coaching
  • You think strength means heavy squats only
I came for the PowderStrong program and stayed for the camaraderie and noticeable improvements in fitness and strength. Early season skiing was much easier. I don't have lower back or hip pain anymore.

Common questions before you sign up.

PowderStrong is a 14-week program, with an optional 5-week preparation phase and an optional 5-week extension — in case snow comes late this fall.
PowderStrong Field is designed to be completed with a moderate home or commercial gym setup. You will need access to basic free weights and a few standard pieces of equipment. Specific requirements are covered in your onboarding materials.
PowderStrong is built for mountain athletes who are already active — not complete beginners. If you ski, hike, or train regularly and want a structured pre-season plan, you are in the right place. If you are newer to training or returning from injury, reach out and we will help you find the right starting point.
It depends on where you are in your recovery. PowderStrong is a performance program, not a rehabilitation program. If you are actively rebuilding after surgery, physical therapy, or significant time away, our Return to Sport pathway may be a better fit. Fill out the form and we will help you figure out the right next step.
In-person PowderStrong sessions run Monday-Saturday each week at our South Salt Lake facility. Specific session times are being finalized for this fall.
We are at 3579 South Main Street, South Salt Lake, UT 84115 — easy access from the Salt Lake Valley, close to the freeway, and about 30 minutes from most Wasatch Front resorts.
Confirmed. Coffee is non-negotiable. If you show up to train, there is a good chance there is a cup nearby.

Ski season doesn't wait.
Why should you?
